Is Google growing up?
The recent update to ad rotation has caused a storm of reaction from outraged marketers accusing Google of further profiteering and removing essential controls from the platform.
In a rare climbdown Google has today announced a new opt-out procedure for those concerned by the change, and may introduce it as a new setting directly in the interface if they get enough pushback from users.
This is the first time I’ve observed Google to listen to a clear and vocal rejection of one of their policies, and rapidly react intelligently to it.
